FEC Approves Extension of Lagos – Badagry Expressway

The Federal Executive Council at its maiden meeting of the Next Level on September 11th 2019 approved an extention of the construction for the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, to the border with Benin Republic.

It will be recalled that the FEC in October 2018 had approved a contract for the rehabilitation of the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.

More specifically, 46km section of it from Agbara – Badagry – Seme Border covering repairs from Eric Moore to Okokomaiko is being handled by the Lagos State Government.

Residents in the area considering the hardship on the road had also in May 2019 protested that the road get fixed by the government.
