The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has directed that he be addressed as Mr. Governor and no longer addressed as Your Excellency.
In a series of tweet via his official account, Sanwo-Olu said that “this seeming symbol of executive arrogance commands popular obeisance.”
Fellow Lagosians, as I embrace the name Mr. Governor, I have come to the conclusion that for us to change the narrative of governance, we have to strip down this seeming symbol of executive arrogance that commands popular obeisance.
