Records Shattered in NPFL Week 7

Haven failed to score in their first five games of the season, Kano Pillars have netted 8 goals in their last two matches in the Nigerian Professional Football League, NPFL.
Only four teams have now scored more goals than the Sai Masu Gida this season.
Kano Pillars defeated Delta Force, 6-1 which saw Rabiu Ali returning to play after his lift on suspension.
This is Kano Pillars’ biggest win in the NPFL since June 2016 when they won 5-0 against Abia Warriors.
The week 7 of the NPFL also saw Katsina United awarded four penalty kicks this season – the most for any side in the league.
Akwa Starlets also became the first team to score at least a goal in their first seven games in the NPFL while there were also hat tricks for Ndifreke Effiong (Akwa United) and Israel Abia (Sunshine Stars).
Heartland FC also ended Plateau United’s run of 11 matches unbeaten (7W 4D).
An impressive 23 goals were also scored – the highest in a match day this season leaving Nasarawa United as the only team without a win in the NPFL this season – P7 2D 5L.
