Lagos Reopen Quilox After Management’s Commitment

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, has reopened Club Quilox nearly a week after securing the management’s commitment to comply with the State’s Environmental Laws, Regulations, Guidelines and Standards.
“The Club was reopened after its management undertook to carry out activities without obstructing the flow of traffic on Ozumba Mbadiwe and other adjoining streets,” the Lagos State Government tweeted.
The sound from its facility is also expected not exceed the recommended limits set by the State.
LASEPA’s General Manager, Dolapo Fasawe, had said that the acceptable level of sounds including music is 65 decibels during the day and 55 decibels at night.
Quilox is owned by Shina Abiola Peller, a member of the House of Representatives and was sealed over noise pollution and traffic congestion a few day before Christmas.
