Odion Ighalo’s loan deal with Manchester United is likely to be extended to June 30th despite ending May 31st due to the shutdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Ighalo’s parent club, Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua, expect the player to return after his loan stay at Old Trafford finishes.
According to the Mail, Manchester United are set to secure Odion Ighalo on a permanent deal for £15m!
The Nigerian’s loan initially covered United’s last potential game of the season – the Europa League final on 27 May – but the 2019-20 season now looks likely to extend into the summer.
