The Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, COZA, has been lashed on social media for taking it’s stance to proceed with holding Sunday service despite the spread of Corona Virus.

The Senior Pastor of the church, Biodun Fatoyinbo, has earlier started that this is following a directive from the FCT Administration.

Following a directive from the FCT Administration, please be informed that service would hold tomorrow, 22nd March, 2020 by 7:30am @Evelyn Centre and 9am at The COZA AUDITORIUM, Guzape Hills , Asokoro Extension, Abuja . 1) Electronic thermometers will be used (2) There will be alcohol based sanitizers ( 3) There will a considerable space between the worshippers. (4) The Air flow systems are effective . ( 5) The blood of Jesus puts the enemy ( pestilence) at bay. #FearNot #CovenantOfProtection #Exploits #BetterDaysAhead

It was however noted that measures are in place for worshippers who will be in attendance.

Reactions to COZA’s declaration via social media:

Clearly, Biodun Fatoyinbo does not have advisers that can tell him “ah oga you have been dragged repeatedly in the last few months, let’s lock up shop and stay out of the news so we don’t embarrass COZA again.” Or they told him and he didn’t listen. Smh 🤦🏾‍♂️

If you are one of those attending COZA's "covenant of protection" service tomorrow, my advice is, it is NOT TOO LATE to be smarter than Biodun Fatoyinbo by staying at home, #StayHomeSaveLives
Abuja has 3 confirmed #coronavirus cases, it takes JUST 1 PERSON to spread the virus. https://t.co/nFj3gcZyCq pic.twitter.com/91q1kVARcf

If the COZA church service goes ahead tomorrow, the responsibility for any mishaps following it should be laid squarely on the Minister of the FCT, the Minister of Health @DrEOEhanire and President @MBuhari.

The minister of FCT gave permission to COZA to hold their services tomorrow. This is the real issue!!! The minister should be questioned and held accountable.

Tho I am not in support Of Biodun Fatoyinbo, But Mo No Forget say No be Only COZA go hold Service Tomorrow… Call out the Rest, Not Just Biodun.

Some GOs will even Hold The service tomorrow Without Preventive Measures.
