The Bank Verification Number commonly called BVN is a biometric identification system implemented by the Central Bank of Nigeria to curb or reduce illegal banking transactions in Nigeria.
It is a modern security measure in line with the Central Bank of Nigeria Act 1958 to reduce fraud in the banking system.
Government introduced a Cashless policy and also initiated Verification of account number through BVN to curb criminality and corruption, but now,the govt av decided that paying through BVN is too transparent for them.

#payusviaBVN . Stop saying that you will only give palliative to the poorest of the poor. There are people who live in estates or flats that don't have what to eat. Nigerians, let's make #payusviaBVN trend. Let's also continue to ask for security because of recent robberies.
