Obaseki Vows to Contest on APC Ticket, Rules Out Defection

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has said he would remain in the APC no matter what happens on his second term ambition.
There has been rumours that Obaseki might opt for the PDP if plans gone out of his way.
Towards this, he has submitted his nomination and expression of interest form at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja on Wednesday, June 3.

Obaseki’s form was received by the national organising secretary Barrister Emma Ibidiro.
Reports are that the Oshiomhole camp adopted Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu for the party.
Ize-Iyamu recently defected from the PDP to join the gubernatorial race.
In his reaction, Obaseki was quoted as saying, “when the going get tough, the tough get going” and that “men would be separated from the boys”.
It would be recalled that Obaseki also visited president Buhari prior to his submission of the form.
