The immediate past chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole has said the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, is not a threat to his party.
In an interview with Channels Television’s magazine programme, Sunday Politics, “How can he be a threat? A man who is not even eligible to contest elections? How can a snail be a threat in a race where tigers are involved?,” Oshiomhole fumed.
The former Edo State Governor reaction was a response to a question about whether Obaseki’s popularity was a threat to his party.
He however said he is confident in the party’s flag bearer, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu to lead the state on the path of progressive development once again.
The Edo State Governorship election is scheduled to hold on September 19 2020.
