Popular Nigerian artiste, Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, has been dragged to the Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja.
It would be that the artiste left Lagos for a concert on Saturday, July 13, 2020 at the Jabi Lake Mall in Abuja on Saturday, July 13, 2020.
The concert also drew a lot of public outrage which also led to the closure of the mall and even grounding of the operation of the chartered airline.
However, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, on Thursday told newsmen in Lagos that the police had filed charges against Marley for violating the COVID-19 order banning interstate travels earlier put in place to curb the spread of coronavirus.
“Naira Marley presented himself at the command headquarters on Thursday.
”We are in court as we speak. He will be arraigned for violating the interstate travel order,” the PRO said.
