Mr Mobolaji Ogunlende, the Pioneer, Real Act of Kindness (RAK) Development Foundation on Friday donated a Jeep car to the publisher of Badagryparrot newspaper, Mr. Zosu Solomon for smooth dissemination of information in the town.
Ogunlende made the donation during the Official Unveiling of Badagry Parrot Media House in Aradagun, Badagry, Lagos.
The pioneer said that the donation of the motor to the publisher was to further assist the company in getting information and disseminating them on time.
According to Ogunlende, the publisher of Badagry Parrot, is a very hard-working man and I believe he deserves more than this.
“When you give him work to do, he goes extra mile to ensure the job is done perfectly.
“This is my personal contribution to his good work. I am giving you this Jeep car to support your activities and movement to work,” he said.
Speaking at the Unveiling, Oba Abraham Olatunji Ogabi, the Onimeke of Imeke Kingdom commended pioneer of RAK foundation for donating a Jeep car in support of the grassroot publisher.
The monarch prayed that God would continue to bless Ogunlende because of his good work he was doing in Badagry communities.
Ogabi urged the publisher of Badagry Parrot to see the car gift as means of increasing his service to the Badagry communities.
Mr Oluomo Akanbi Ade Afonja, the Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Gov. Babajide Sanwoolu said the unveiling was a starting point for the publisher.
Afonja urged the grassroot media practitioners in Badagry communities not to allow external body to divide them.
He called for unity among the youths, adding that Badagry communities could only witness development when youths come together as one.
According to Afonja, we have to speak with one voice and be united.
Mr. Ovi Kuponu, the Publisher of De Voice Magazine, commended Ogunlende for his contributions to easy dissemination of information in Badagry.
Kuponu said that if the town had more of Ogunlende in Badagry, information would have gone beyond where it was.
“All the same you can’t compare the present Badagry to where we were in the last 10 years.
“Presently, we are having a landmark here today,” he said.
Mr. Sewhude Akande also appreciate the good gesture of Mr. Mobolaji saying “This act of yours today, is a sign that our efforts are being noticed and it will pay someday if not now.
Akande described the car donation as a good gesture to all grassroot media practitioners in Badagry describing Zosu as a true ambassador of grassroot media.
In his own remarks, Hon Zosu Solomon, the Publisher of Badagryparrot, urged other media practitioners to be hard-working.
“It is good to be hard-working, I never expected this.
“With what RAK foundation has done for me this year, I never expected a Jeep car from him.
“This is to tell us that we should not be discouraged. I am very grateful to Ogunlende because he has done a lot for me this year alone.
‘I don’t want to start mentioning what he has done for me this year but all the same I am grateful for his continuous contributions to the development of Badagry Parrot,” he said.
