Olukemi Olufunto Badenoch has been named the new Secretary of State for International Trade and President of the Board of Trade in the new government.

The New U.K. Prime Minister Liz Truss on Tuesday named the Conservative Kemi as the new British trade chief.

Recall that Kemi ran against Truss for the top post earlier and she joined dozens of colleagues in resigning from Boris Johnson’s government in July over his handling of a number of scandals

Kemi is a British politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Saffron Walden since 2017.

She grew up in the UK, US and Nigeria, and is known as a culture warrior with anti-’woke’ views on issues including trans rights that make her a hit among right-leaning members of the party.
