Nigerian Surgeon Appointed to lead US Children’s Hospital

A Nigerian 🇳🇬, Oluyinka O. Olutoye renowned for Fetal Surgeon has been appointed the Surgeon-In-Chief at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Ohio, USA to lead the Surgery Programs.
While confirming his appointment which was effective from August 1st 2019, Olutoye will be responsible for leading one of the largest children’s hospital surgery departments in the world, a statement on the website (www.nationwidechildrens.org) of the organisation stated.
Prior to joining Nationwide Children’s, Dr. Olutoye served as co-director of the Fetal Center and the immediate past president of the medical staff at Texas Children’s Hospital.
He was a medical graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State and is certified by the American Board of Surgery in Surgery and Pediatric Surgery.
He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the West African College of Surgeons.
