How to Retrieve Your National Identification Number via USSD

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) is leaving no stone unturned towards ensuring that all Nigerians are enrolled.
The Commission in the bid to ensure that the National Identification Number (NIN) is available to the teeming Nigerian population has launched the USSD Platform which will enable anyone who has no access to his/her NIN to retrieve it on their lines at the most convenient space.
To retrieve the NIN, users are to dial *346# using the phone used at registration and the code is only available to MTN and Airtel networks at the moment.

Moreso, to reprint the NIN slip, you are expected to pay ₦500 payable through remita.
It will be recalled that the Federal Government had declared September 16th as the National ID Card Day otherwise called 16.9.
This declaration makes Nigeria the first country in the world to formally adopt the day.
