The Swiss side FC Lugano has acquired the services of 21 year old striker Franklin Sasere from Nigeria’s Professional Football League side, Sunshine Stars.
The Black Diamond, as Sasere is fondly called moved for an undisclosed fee on a 3 year contract.
In a chat with Goal.com, Sasere noted that “there is nothing more satisfying than seeing myself signing for a new club and in a new environment. It is surely the right move,”
He has also been handed the jersey number 27. Lugano are featuring in this season’s Europa League and this Sasere hopes to play and excel at.
Sunshine Stars however has also congratulated Sasere on his new exploits sharing on their twitter handle thus:

The Swiss club will on Sunday, 29th September at 4pm, face Xamax on the ninth and final day of the first part of the Super League first round but are currently placed eighth in the Super League with six points from eight outings.
