Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Dismisses Proposed USSD Charges

The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Pantai has directed the immediate suspension of the proposed USSD charges.
Pantami affirmed that there was no justification for the new tariff, consequently directing it’s immediate suspension.
“Any telecom operator that violates this directive would be sanctioned appropriately,” he said.
He however noted that the vision of the Ministry is to see ICT promotes a Digital Economy in Nigeria.
