Lagos Assembly To Summon Controller-General of Customs Over Lagosians Harassment

The Lagos State House of Assembly has directed the Clerk of the House to notify the Federal House of Representatives and the Nigerian Senate to summon the Comptroller-General Of Customs to stop the indiscriminate harassment of Lagosians.
This was a follow up to the cries of Lagosians to the inhumane treatment they are subjected to since the border closure around August this year.
At a plenary session held today, the House also directed the Clerk to write The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu to direct the Commissioners for Commerce, Industry and Corporative to organize a Stakeholder’s meeting in Lagos, between the Customs and business owners who are affected by this action.
