LASU Gets Ultra Modern Reception Centre from LIRS

The Lagos State University’s Faculty of Management Sciences, FMS, has received an Ultra Modern Reception Centre from the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS).
The facility was handed over to the management of the school in a brief but colorful ceremony at the campus today.
In attendance were the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olanrewaju Adigun Fagbohun, SAN ably represented by his Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic, Prof. Olumuyiwa Noah; the Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences, Prof. R.B Yusuf, Professors and other members of academic and non-academic staff of the Faculty, as well as the a high-powered team from the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS), donors of the Project.
In his speech, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. B. R. Yusuf was full of praise for the LIRS for giving back to the University.

“We identified the need to have a befiting reception hall and approached LIRS to help us achieve it. True to their promise, they did put this in place. They have also promised to do more if we are able to make good use of this.”

Yusuf also pointed out that “soon, we are going to start a Degree in Taxation and we invite LIRS staff to come for admission in our university.”
The Director, Account and Finance, LIRS, Mr Maroof Tijani, responding on behalf of the Service expressed the readiness of the Body to do more for LASU.
“When the Dean approached us for this gesture, we felt this is the kind of project we want to partake in and we see it as a CSR on our own part.”
“We want to collaborate with #LASU and do more. This is our University and we are ready to give necessary support,” Tijani said.
The Management Sciences Students Association (MASSA) also used the occasion to unveil a new signage donated for the faculty.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olumuyiwa Noah then joined the Dean and other Officials to witness the unveiling of the signage.
