Badagry LG Chairman, Onilude, Deploys Security Agencies to Ensure Orderliness in Agbalata Market

The chairman of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Olusegun Adeniran Onilude, has deployed security personnels to ensure orderliness in Agbalata.
In a meeting with the security personnels at the Council Chamber of the local government, Onilude noted that “the market has been disorderly and disorganized with traffic jams on the increase as a result of the indiscipline of traders.”
The chairman had earlier intervened by initiating an enforcement team when the police were ready to take some actions to bring orderliness to the market.
The marketers are therewith informed that warning will be given before actions are taken for which the police would take recalcitrant persons to court.
Onilude charged the team to use minimal force imploring that the walk ways should be free while market items should be off the roads and that vehicle operators should be in the garage and unwanted umbrellas and canopies, indiscriminate parking, unapproved extensions in and around the market should be removed with strict sanitation should adhered to including the tricyclist and motorcyclist.
The Chairman then appointed Mrs Okoosi-Adepeju Desi Wasiat of the local government’s environment department as the head of the workforce.
Other departments involved in the operation includes the Environment, Information, Engineering, Market and Legal units of the Local Government.
