The prince of Ilogbo Eremi in Olorunda LCDA of Badagry Local Government Area, Prince Lateef Sanni Olarinde has donated palliatives in form of cash and food items to 500 residents to ease the hardship brought about by the lockdown.
The foremost philanthropist, who is also the CEO of Sanfathab Concept, reached out to the aged widows, physically challenged and unemployed at his Lion House residence in Ilogbo Eremi.
Olarinde noted his action was seeing the level of poverty the pandemic has plunged the people in to.
“The government is trying, but we too – I mean those who are blessed to have more, should also share with those who are vulnerable at this trying time to mitigate the harsh effects of this lockdown.”
The event was a week long due to the need to ensure social distancing and the use of face mask as well as hand sanitisers in accordance to the Government and Health Authorities guidelines, Olarinde noted.
“I am doing this in line with the injunctions in the Bible and the Qur’an, which say the more you give, the greater reward you get and because I can’t bear to see people go hungry.”
The prince also extended his gesture to a nearby community, Oguntedo near Satellite Town reaching out to another hundred people with food palliatives.
