LASU Holds First Virtual Senate Meeting

The Senate of the Lagos State University, LASU and has held her first virtual meeting due to the novel Corona Virus pandemic.

The meeting which was held on Thursday, 22nd May, was for over two hours started around 11am culminating around 1pm and chaired by the University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun.

Highlights of the meeting was the progress report on virtual academic lectures for students from different faculties and departments of the university.

Some principal officers present at the virtual meeting included the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Muyiwa Noah, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Damola Oke, the Registrar, Mr Mohammed Olayinka Amuni and the University Librarian, Dr. Lai Adebayo.

The highlight from the number of issues deliberated upon was the progress report on virtual academic lectures for students from different faculties and departments of the University.

There were one hundred and eighteen (118) senators who participated in the virtual meeting.
