Sequel to the vacant seat of the Oniru monarchy, one of Governor Sanwo-Olu Commissioner and aide-de-camp to APC National Leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Prince Gbolahan Lawal has resigned.
Lawal’s resignation is believed to be connected to being Oniru of Iru Kingdom in Eti-Osa Local Government Area of the state.
There are however no official information on the resignation at the moment.
The seat has since September 2019 been vacant when the former Oniru, oba Idowu Abiodun, died aged 82.
Lawal was born on July 24, 1970 and was a graduate of Botany from the University of Port Harcourt in 1992.
He was first appointed the ADC to Bola Tinubu from 1999 to 2003 and resigned voluntarily in 2008 as a Superintendent of the Police Force
Lawal also served in former Governors Babatunde Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode’s administrations.
