The New Oniru is not our Family, Ruling House Cries Out

Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown and such is for the newly installed Oniru of Iruland and Ọba Abdulwasiu Gbolahan Lawal.
One of the ruling houses in Iruland, the Omowumi Abisogun Oniru Ruling House, has rejected the monarch on the ground that he is not a member of their family.
For this, the Federal Government has been called on to prevail so that the Lagos State Governments can reverse his installation of Lawal and chose one of them as the new king.
The family made the appeal during a protest at the Igbosere High Court of Lagos, yesterday.
It would be recalled that the newly installed king, Lawal, was a former Commissioner of Agriculture in Lagos State.
The Head of the Omowunmi Abisogun Oniru ruling house, 88-year-old, Alhaji Surajudeen Durosinmi, has said they rejected Lawal because is not part of their ruling house.
