Benjamin Olarotimi has emerged the governorship candidate of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) after beating his sole challenger, Pastor Olusegun Esho for the Ondo State Governorship.
Olarotimi emerged from the party’s convention held in Akure with a score of sixty-five votes over Esho who had 20.
With this, the Zenith Labour Party becomes the first political party to hold primaries to pick its candidate ahead of the October 10, 2020 governorship election in the state.
The exercise was chaired by Eni Akinola and monitored by INEC officials with former Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko and the State Chairman of ZLP Hon. Joseph Akinlaja in attendance.
