Akpabio Denies Claiming House of Representatives Members Got Moat NDDC Contracts

The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has denied saying lawmakers got 60% of the contracts from the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.
His denial was contained in his response to the ultimatum he was given by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.
While announcing the receipt of Akpabio’s response, Gbajabiamila said that the minister claimed to have referred to old contracts awarded by the NDDC which had not been paid for and some of which are part of the constituency projects of the lawmakers.
Akpabio’s response, Gbajabiamila however noted would be referred to the Committee on Ethics and Privileges to look at the merits of the minister’s arguments.
