Ogunlende Empowers 57 Grassroot Persons, Others, for APC Candidates

Mobolaji Ogunlende, the Special Adviser to Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Special Duty and Inter-governmental Relations has empowered 57 persons at the grassroots level to ensure victory for all candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said the aim of the empowerment was to energize the grassroot engagement and contribution towards a successful election for all APC candidates in the forthcoming election.

Ogunlende, who is also the Pioneer of Real Acts of Kindness (RAK) Development Foundation said this at the office Tinubu/Sanwo-Olu Independent Campaign Council in Ikeja, Lagos.

“As we are getting closer to election day, we have to wrap up activities for our party, APC.

“The intention behind the empowerment is to encourage people to reach out to less privileged people in the grassroots.

“My foundation, RAK has been empowering people of Lagos, Badagry in general and I think there is no other time to intensive this if not now.

“Today, we are empowering 57 women from 57 locals government and Local Council Development Area (LCDA), 57 supervisors and 57 Chief of Staff to continue to canvas votes for APC candidates,” he said.

Ogunlende charged the grassrooters to continue to canvas support for Tinubu/Shetima and Sanwo-Olu/Hazmat, adding that saying they are the best option to take Nigeria to the next level of possibilities.

Ogunlende used the opportunity to project the 10 Man Walk Team who took a Campaign Walk from Ojodu Berger to Marina to solidarise their support for all Sen Bola Tinubu and Re-election of Governor Sanwoolu/Hamzat.

Also, he also brought one Alh. Ibrahim Obasanjo W.A.K.A who took the campaign of Asiwaju from Kano down to Lagos by producing campaign VCD in order to spread the great works and support Asiwaju in Hausa Dialect.

Another group; Models for Asiwaju, an initiative of young talented youths using their skills and talents to spread the support for Asiwaju in the forthcoming elections.

The peak of the event was the empowerment of the 57 Grass-rooters Women with Gas Cylinders and Burners in order to show his concern and support for their contributions towards a Greater Lagos Rising and a Nation of Renewed Hope.

The ICC were not left out as he donated campaign souvenirs to them as well.
Responding, Chief Tayo Ayinde, the Director General of the council thanked Ogunlende for his gestures.

According to him, we have watched you on several occasions empowering people from Badagry and it pained us when you contested for primary election into House of Representatives and didn’t make it.

“This is the reason for us to give you the post of Special Adviser, so that the gestures can continue,” he said.

Mrs Sewede Pot-Balogun, the Supervisor for Education Badagry Local Government, who also double as State Coordinator of the 57 Grassrooters and beneficiary commended the Special Adviser and prayed that God would reward him more.
