The border town of Badagry will be getting nothing less than 100 officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) along the Seme-Badagry-Agbara route this season.
Main Reason Why FRSC Marshals Are On Badagry Expressway
According to the unit commander of the Agency, Williams Manga, 100 personnel and special marshals are deployed along Seme-Badagry-Agbara route for traffic control during the yuletide.
While addressing the press on Saturday, Manga observed that motorists are taking advantage of the expressway by driving recklessly.
Recall that the Lagos-Badagry Expressway has had a face-lift compared to what it has been since 2007 when construction works started on the corridor.
He further explained that:
“We have mapped out black spots and accident-prone areas like Oko-Afo, Mowo junction, Badagry Roundabout, Gbaji checkpoint and Seme border which will be manned strictly throughout the festive period.
“My personnel have been positioned in those areas to ensure free flow of traffic and to ensure that traffic laws are obeyed,
While noting all these, he further informed the newsmen that members of the Force has been placed in strategic places where accidents might have happen.
