There are security concerns on the state of the suspended swinging bridge of the Lekki Conservation Centre (LCC) acclaimed to be the longest canopy walk in Africa as parts of the dangling 401 metres long canopy was captured broken.
Dangerous Spots on the Lekki Conservation Centre Canopy Walk
According to a post captured on social media by NewStori, fun seekers are warned to be careful while taking a tour of the adventorous walk as parts of the 5th tower tagged as Kelson Tower measured at 15 metres (49 feet) above the ground which is a swamp has the edges holding the suspended bridge faintly knitted together and any mistake can be so dangerous.
Also noted was the walkway within the same centre that has been much dilapidated most likely due to the weight of the persons that has come around tp have fun in the facility.
Where Is The Lekki Conservation Centre Located?
The Lekki Conservation Centre is an enviromental Non-Government Organisation (NGO) established in 1990 and managed by the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) which itself was formed in a decade earlier, 1980 to be precise by Shafi Lawal Edu the former Western Region Commissioner for Health and Social Services. The centre seats at the heart of the Lekki town at some distance away from the Seconf Lekki Toll gate just opposite Chevron Drive.
It is home to various wildlife and plants playing a pivotal role in preserving the ecosystem of the area sitting on a 78-hectare (190-acre) space.
