Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club side, Rivers United, has secured a place in the quarter finals of the CAF Confederations Cup.
The Port Harcourt based team win with about 10 minutes to the end of the match to beat the Ghanaians 2-1.
The host has fell to Dreams FC in the first leg and trailed in the second leg since the 40th when Abdul Aziz Issah put then ahead only for Deputy Echeta to equalise for the pride of Rivers in the 61st minute.
The Blue Angels eventually got the winning goal through Enyinnaya Kazie scored in the 99th minute to earn his side qualification. Kazie benefitted from a goalmouth struggle and struck from inside the box to make it 2-1 sending the Nigerian team into wild jubilation.
The victory ensured that Rivers United finished second in their group, behind Dreams FC, who have a better goal difference. Both will know their opponents for the next round when the draws are made.
