Embattled former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, will be remanded at the EFCC custody till the next adjourned date.
Emefiele will have to spend the Eid Fitr celebrations in custody till Thursday April 11, 2024 when the court will give its ruling on his bail application.
The former CBN governor is now being charged with fresh 26 counts, some of which include; Abuse of Office, accepting gratifications, accepting gifts by Agents,corrupt demand, Receiving property fraudulently obtained contrary to the law… etc. which the EFCC says are contrary to relevant laws.
