Despite the Lagos State police Commissioner, Muazu Zubairu, asserting that nobody should pay for bail ad it is absolutely free; many have come out taking it with no serious emotions attached to it rather faulting his claim.
Almost all the police station are filled with inscription of bail is free but citizens have always been charged to pay even with proper documentation or not.
In reaction to the #EndSARS campaigner front liner, Segun Awosanya, popularly called Segalink, Joe Nwagbara – a Social Media commentator queried if he believed the Commissioner’s claim.
While reacting, many played down the CP’s reaction while asking if he had even been beating by the police before or he rather drop his number so he can be contacted when his men asks for such.
Another even claimed that he was compelled to pay ₦30,000 and required to attest that no money was paid.
