Samola Inspects Ikotun Primary School Project, Reiterates Commitment for More Dividends of Democracy

The Ikotun Community in Ward A of Olorunda LCDA on Tuesday, 27th August 2019 was the host as the Executive Chairman of Olorunda LCDA in Badagry Local Government Area, Hon. Samson Folorunso Olatunde popularly known as Samola, visited to inspect the Ikotun Primary School Project.
In his drive to bringing basic amenities as well as other dividends of democracy to the people’s doorsteps, the administration after due diligence went on the construction of a primary school in the Ikotun Community which upon completion will serve its immediate community as well as complement the impacts of similar establishments in the neighbouring riverine villages.
It would be recalled that the administration is one that prides itself on aggressive infrastructural developments as seen in the large number of projects going on across the LCDA with several projects cutting across essential facets such as Education, Health, Transportation, Security, Youth development and quite interesting that the people have become the essence of governance in the LCDA.
During the inspection at the site, Olatunde was quoted as saying: “we were fully aware of the difficulties faced by our constituents in this community and environs regarding schooling and had it planned a long time ago to address the situation. Many of the wards in the riverine have found the schooling facilities available to them far from conducive but that is about to change as we speak.”
Speaking further, he said: “we carried out a survey sometime ago and as a result, we discovered some obvious deficiencies in our educational system. We realized that most of our schools have inadequate number of classrooms. Therefore, the classrooms are always overcrowded which in turn makes it impossible for the children to learn in a conducive environment.”
“That has since propelled us to intensify our efforts towards constructing more classrooms and schools wherever the deficiencies are. As we speak, we have touched Ilogbo, Morogbo, work is almost done in Our Lady of Apostles Primary School, Ojogun and there’s a lot more to come.” he concluded.
