Akinwunmi Adesina named African of the Year

Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina, the president of the African Development Bank, ADB, has been awarded the 2019 African of the Year award held in South Africa.

Adesina received the award during the 8th African leadership persons of the year award dinner held in Johannesburg with over 200 leading African political, business and diplomatic leaders in attendance.
He was selected by public polls conducted by the African Leadership Magazine from Africans around the world.
Adesina noted that the award is a clarion call to do more for Africa.
