Daniel said after his inauguration as a Senator of the 10th National Assembly, he wrote the letter to the state government asking for his pension and allowances put at ₦676,376.95kobo to be stopped immediately.
A former governor of Ogun State, Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has written to the state government asking that his pension as a former governor of the state be stopped.
Daniel notified the state via a letter dated June 14th and shared online on July 7th.
Why Gbenga Daniel Asked His Pension to be Stopped
He said that since his inauguration as a Senator of the 10th National Assembly, his pension and allowances pegged at ₦676,376.95kobo be stopped immediately.
Daniel was elected in February and is representing Ogun East at the 10th National Assembly, he was the governor of the state from 2003 to 2011.
According to the former Ogun State Governor, he said his “good conscience” informed the decision to have his monthly payment suspended.
