Nigerian Breweries Increases Cost of Beer Amid Rising Inflation

Foremost brewer, Nigerian Breweries announced that it would hike the price of alcoholic drinks due to the hardship caused by fuel subsidy removal.

The letter signed on Tuesday by Ayo Lawal, the Sales Director of NB further explained that the increment is coming on the heels of the rise in production costs.

The new price was however noted would be effective from next week, August 10, 2023.

The statement in part reads thus: “This is to inform you (the Public) that we will review the prices of some of our SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) effective Thursday, August 10, 2023.”
