Akin Alabi, the All Progressive Party, APC, House of Representatives lawmaker representing Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal constituency in Oyo State has shared his displeasure on spending ₦37b renovating the National Assembly.
The former People’s Democratic Party, PDP, member shared on his Twitter account that:
“I see no reason why we should spend ₦37b renovating the National Assembly. Yes, we need upgrade on some aspects like the electronic systems (sound system, voting system etc) as they are outdated but ₦37b? No. Let’s spend that on our schools and hospitals.”
A few persons however wondered why the former Nairabet CEO has been mute when the bill passed 1st, 2nd and 3rd reading while others supports him:
Was Akin Alabi not in the house when the bill passed 1st,2nd and 3rd reading? Why didn't he come here to make noise then?
I've been telling you this guy is a fraud, thank God I'm being proven right. I'm sure Oyo people will correct this anomaly in 2023.— Fsammy (@Famoyegun_S) December 30, 2019
